Box Score MANKATO, Minn. - The Bethany women's basketball team led St. Scholastica by 14 early in the second half, but weren't able to hold onto the advantage and dropped the UMAC contest 59-51 Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings had one of their best all-around efforts in the first half.Â
Dakota Ellinghuysen's jumper gave Bethany an 18-17 lead with 11:30 left in the first.Â

Shelby Sicheneder extended that lead to six with back-to-back lay-ups. The lead would swell to ten at 29-19 following anÂ
Angela DeBruzzi lay-in. DeBruzzi's 3 from the right wing with three seconds left gave the Vikings a 36-24 lead going into the break.
Bethany shot 45 percent in the first half and held St. Scholastica to 35 percent.
Lacey Ellinghuysen quickly extended their halftime advantage to 14 on the first jumper of the second half. St. Scholastica began to trickle away at Bethany's lead. With the Vikings up 45-35, the Saints went on a 9-0 run to cut the lead to one at 45-44 and would take their first lead of the second half following a pair of Holly VanKempen free throws at 48-47.
Later, with the score tied at 48, Brittani Brennan drained a 3 with 3:34 left to give St. Scholastica the lead. Lacey Ellinghuysen countered with a huge 3 from the left corner to tie the game back up at 51 with 2:27 remaining. VanKempen completed a 3-point play with 1:28 left. The Saints closed out the game scoring the game's final eight points to come away with the road victory.
BLC shot 22 percent in the second half and were held to 15 points. Dakota Ellinghuysen had 12 points andÂ
