Box Score Women's Soccer Ends Regular Season with Victory
MANKATO, Minn. – In the final regular season game of the year, the Bethany women's soccer team took on the North Central Rams in a non-conference matchup. The Vikings defeated the Rams 5-1 in preparation for the 2015 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament.
The offensive surge came from sophomore
Nicole Moldstad (North Mankato, Minn./MN Valley Lutheran). She ignited the Vikings offensive by scoring three goals and assisting on a goal by
Taylor Friehl (Albert Lea, Minn.). The other Viking goal came late in the first period when
Bridget Hennen (Apple Valley, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) broke a 1-1 tie heading into the half. On the rainy afternoon the women's soccer team put 23 shots on the Rams goalkeeper.
Bethany finished the regular season with a record of 9-8-3, 5-3-1, receiving the number five seed into the postseason tournament.
The Vikings will now play on Monday, November 2
