Box Score Women's Basketball Falls to Buena Vista

MANKATO, Minn. – The women's basketball team played their final game Thursday night before the holiday break. The Vikings played host to the Buena Vista Beavers in a non-conference match up. The Beavers topped the Vikings by a score of 82-73, moving the Vikings to a 3-7 record overall and 1-2 in the UMAC.

Leading the Vikings in tonight's contest was three-time UMAC Player of the Week award winner,
Haley Sandin with 25 points and three steals.
Briana Brandts contributed both offensively and defensively for the Vikings with 12 points and 18 rebounds, while teammates
Minnie Frederick-Childress and
Dakota Ellinghuysen added 10 points and six rebounds and eight points and eight rebounds, respectively.

Offensively, the Beavers out-shot the Vikings from both the field (44.6% vs. 34.7%) and the three-point line (39.3% vs. 18.8%), while the Vikings claimed more points from the free throw line (66.7% vs. 59.1%) in tonight's contest. The two teams were similar in rebounds tonight, as the Vikings had a total of 46 (22 offensive and 24 defensive) and the Beavers a total of 47 (16 offensive and 31 defensive).

For the Beavers, Lexi Fisher scored 19 points, while teammate Jasmyn Flynn-Graves scored 15.
