Box Score ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - A Bethany 62-51 win at Crown combined with a Martin Luther loss at Minn.-Morris put the Vikings in a fourth-place with the Knights in the UMAC with three regular season games remaining. The top four teams qualify for the UMAC Postseason Tournament.
Shelby Sicheneder's layup broke an 11-11 tie and was the start to a 9-0 Bethany run to give the Vikings a lead they would not relinquish.
Bethany led by that nine point margin at 33-24 at the break. Crown would cut that deficit to two at 38-36 seven minutes into the second half.
Anna Balcom's layup started an 8-0 run to put the Vikings up by ten at 46-36. Bethany would lead by a comfortable margin the rest of the way.
Briana Brandts recorded another double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds.
Angela DeBruzzi scored 13 points and Balcom added ten.
Bethany (7-15, 6-5 in UMAC) plays Saturday at Minn.-Morris at 3 p.m.
