Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TUCSON, Ariz. - Bethany dropped a pair of games to the defending Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions, Buena Vista, in late night action in Tucson Monday.

In the first game, the Beavers scored five in the bottom of the first to take a big lead. The Vikings scored three in the third to make a game of things. Joe Tuholsky scored on an RBI single from Lucas Herd. Tyler Hebrink followed with a 2-RBI double to score both Herd and Danny Kneeland.

Buena Vista followed with two runs in their half of the third and four more in the fourth to break the game open. Kneeland and Herd each finished with two hits as Bethany dropped the opener 13-5.

BVU jumped out to an early lead again in the nightcap having four runs cross the plate in the second and added four more in the fifth as the Beavers took Game 2 12-2. 

Bethany is off until Thursday when they play Marian for a doubleheader in Arizona.
