LAKEVILLE, Minn. - After splitting their singles contests with North Central, Bethany needed at least two wins from their doubles teams to win their UMAC women's tennis opener and that's what they got as the Vikings defeated the Rams 5-4.

Alicia Kranz (No. 1), Rachel Rosemore (No. 3), and Danielle Belisle (No. 5) each won their singles matches in straight sets. Kranz only lost five games in her match and Rosemore dropped only two.

In the important doubles matches, Kranz teamed with Morgan Schwarz to win 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Rosemore and Justine Bennett gave Bethany their fifth win at No. 2 doubles, 8-5.

After their morning match with the Rams, Bethany traveled down to Owatonna for an afternoon tilt with the College of Saint Mary and fell 7-2.
