OWATONNA, Minn. - The Bethany women's tennis team remained undefeated in UMAC play with a 5-4 win over North Central Saturday at the West Hills Tennis and Fitness Center in Owatonna.
Just like the previous weekend, where the Vikings also won 5-4 over the Rams in Minneapolis, the dual came down to doubles play. The teams split their singles matches. The three Bethany wins all came easily.Â
Alicia Kranz won her match at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2.Â
Rachel Rosemore only lost one game in her match at No. 2 singles and at No. 4 singles,Â
Justine Bennett, took her match 6-2, 6-4.
In the all-important doubles matches, Kranz teamed withÂ
Morgan Schwarz to win their match 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Rosemore and Bennett gave the Vikings the team win by taking their match at No. 2 doubles 8-2.
Bethany 5, North Central 4Earlier in the day in Owatonna, the Bethany women dropped their dual with Midland Lutheran 6-3.
Midland Lutheran 6, Bethany 3Bethany is off until April 10th when they travel to Northwestern.
