Box Score Friehl's Late Goal Leads Vikings
MANKATO, Minn. – The women's soccer team entered the game in first place in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference with a record of (5-3-2, 3-0-1). The Vikings took on Minn.-Morris Tuesday afternoon looking to continue their hot streak by adding another victory to their already impressive conference record. The Vikings defeated the Cougars by a final score of 1-0.
Taylor Friehl (Albert Lea, Minn.) scored a game winning goal in the 68
th minute to lead the Vikings to a 1-0 victory over the Cougars. The Vikings played all 90 minutes like a team that was atop the conference and was determined to stay there.

The Vikings witnessed another impressive shutout victory from sophomore goalkeeper
Averi Cash (Ottumwa, Iowa) as she had eight saves on the afternoon to lead her team to a 4-0-1 conference record.
The women's soccer play will now play Northwestern at home on Saturday, October 3. The game time is set for 4:15 p.m. Come out and cheer on the first place Bethany Vikings.
