Box Score Women's Basketball Pushes Past Finlandia
HANCOCK, Mich. – The women's basketball team returned to play after the holiday break with a non-conference road game against the Lions of Finlandia. The Vikings improved their record to 4-7, 1-2 in UMAC with a 72-58 win over the Lions.
For the Vikings, freshman
Haley Sandin led the way in tonight's contest with 30 points. Teammate
Sarah Davis added 14 points for the Vikings, while
Shelby Sicheneder added nine.
Briana Brandts added 10 total rebounds for Bethany.
The Vikings out-shot the Lions with a game total of 41.4% while the Lions only shot 34.5%. Bethany completed the game with 37 total rebounds, compared to the Lions 38 total boards.
The women's basketball team is back in action Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. as they take on the Lumberjills from Northland College in a conference showdown.
