Box Score Lumberjacks Cruise Past Vikings

ASHLAND, Wis. – In the first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference game of 2016, the Bethany men's basketball team played the Northland Lumberjacks, seeking their third conference victory of the season. The Lumberjacks played a solid second half of basketball to defeat the Vikings 75-64.

Bethany lead 32-30 entering half-time before the Lumberjacks came out in the second half scoring 45 points compared to the Vikings 22 en route to the conference defeat.

Offensively for the Vikings,
Brandyn Frelix ended the game with 20 points, going 8-12 from the field in 26 minutes of play.
Zach Brandts and
Nick Sanborn netted 10 and seven points, respectively.

Defensively for the Vikings,
Nate Chadderdon collected nine rebounds while
Sanborn contributed with seven.

Overall Bethany shot 36.2% (21-58) compared to the Lumberjacks 46% (29-63) from the field. Northland finished the contest with 12 three-pointers made while the Vikings connected on four.

Bryshaun Brown led all scorers for Northland, finishing the contest with 13 points and four rebounds.
