ASHLAND, Wis. –With only two weekends left of the women's soccer Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) season, the Bethany women's soccer team is battling for a share of the UMAC regular season conference title. The Vikings traveled to play the Lumberjills from Northland, who holds a 6-0-1 conference record thus far. The contest was featured as the UMAC Game of the Week with UMAC title hopes on the line.

Northland netted a goal minutes into the first overtime session to defeat Bethany 1-0 and claim the 2016 UMAC regular season conference championship.

Averi Cash (Ottumwa, Iowa) made 11 saves as the Vikings goalkeeper against the Lumberjills. Bethany attempted a total of seven shots (three on goal) while Northland attempted 20 total shots (12 on goal).

The Vikings (8-8-2, 4-2-1) will next play at North Central on Tuesday in non-conference soccer followed by the regular season finale on Friday afternoon at the BLC Soccer Field against Crown.
