MANKATO, Minn. – The women's soccer team played Crown College on Friday afternoon at the BLC Soccer Field in the 2016 regular season finale. The Storm (2-14-2, 1-7) snuck past the Vikings 2-1 to earn their first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference win of the season.

Bethany finishes the regular season with an overall record of 9-9-2 and 4-3-1 conference record.

Rachel Bitter (Bemidji, Minn.) scored the first goal of the game minutes before the halftime.
Nicole Moldstad (North Mankato, Minn.) assisted on the 17
th goal by Bitter this season. The freshman finishes the regular season second in Bethany women's soccer individual season records with 17 goals while ranking third in total points with 35.

Crown would go on to score two goals in the second period to defeat the Vikings 2-1 to close out their season.

What Lies Ahead for Bethany:
The Vikings will now compete in the 2016 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament. Â The quarterfinals will begin on Monday, October 31
st followed by the semifinals and finals on November 1
st and 5
th. The Vikings will enter the Postseason Tournament as the No. 5 seed, which means the Vikings will travel to play an opponent that is yet to be determined on Monday (Oct. 31st).
