STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Bethany Lutheran volleyball team went on the road to the University of Buena Vista on Saturday afternoon for the regular season finale, before the 2016 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament begins on Monday.

The Beavers, a member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, defeated the Vikings 3-0 (18-25, 21-25, 22-25) to improve to 14-13 overall on the season. With the loss, Bethany completes the regular season portion of their schedule with an overall record of 9-16 and 4-4 conference mark.

Offensively,
Megan Rutt (Le Center, Minn.) and
Alannah Menk (St. Cloud, Minn.) led the attack with 20 combined kills.
Jasmine Carlson (Windom, Minn.) finished the three-set match with 22 set assists. Defensively,
Anna Nelson (Cannon Falls, Minn.) and Carlson recorded 15 and 11 digs each in the efforts against BVU.

The 2016 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament. Bethany will travel to No. 4 seeded Martin Luther on Monday, October 31

In the regular season, the Vikings defeated MLC 3-1 at their place before the Knights traveled to BLC later in the season to defeat the Vikings 3-2.
