PELLA, Iowa – On Friday night, the Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team had their first road contest of the 2016-17 season. The Vikings traveled to Central College to play the Dutch in a non-conference contest. The Vikings fell to 0-2 on the season, as the Dutch defeated Bethany 83-63.
Haley Sandin (Zimmerman, Minn.) and
Taylor Schultz (Wells, Minn.) finished the contest with 18 points apeice. Sandin and Schultz combined for seven three-point field goals for the Vikings. Senior
Christina Wickingson (Mason, Wis.) rounded out double figures with 10 points while contributing with seven rebounds. Bethany finished the game shooting 30.3% (20-66) from the field while draining nine three's.

The women's basketball team will next play on Tuesday, November 22
nd against the Wartburg Knights at 5 p.m. in the Sports and Fitness Center. Last season, the Knights made its first appearance in the NCAA Final Four and again are projected to finished atop the IIAC.
