MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team welcomed the Wartburg Knights to the Sports and Fitness Center for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night. The Vikings were downed by Wartburg 83-61.

The Wartburg Knights compete in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC). Last season, the Knights won the IIAC Postseason Tournament and made their first appearance in the NCAA Division III Final Four.

Sophomore
Haley Sandin (Zimmerman, Minn.) led all scorers with 27 points in 38 minutes of action. Senior
Minnie Frederick-Childress (Flint, Michigan) added 12 points while junior
Dakota Ellinghuysen (Peterson, Minn.) added 10 points off the bench for the Vikings.

Bethany shot 39 percent (23-59) from the field while connecting on seven of 24 from behind the three point arc.
