ST. PAUL, Minn. – To conclude 2016, the Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team traveled to Macalester College to take on the Scots in a non-conference game. The Scots earned the 102-83 victory over the Vikings.
With the loss, Bethany falls to 4-7 overall on the season and maintains a 3-2 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference record heading into the New Year.
On Friday night, sophomore
Haley Sandin (Zimmermann, Minn.) led the way for the BLC women's basketball team with 25 points, five total rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 38 minutes of court time. Senior
Minnie Frederick-Childress (Flint, Mich.) contributed with 23 points, five rebounds, six assists, and four steals in the efforts against Macalester. Rounding out double figures was junior Rachel Sorensen (Windom, Minn.) with 11 points while Brooke Henning (Worthington, Minn.) added nine points.
The Vikings shot 39.2% (29-74) from the field while connecting on 37.0% (10-27) from behind the three-point arc.

The Vikings will return to their home floor on Friday, January 6
th when they welcome the Lions from Finlandia University for a non-conference battle. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
