MANKATO, Minn. – After an exciting Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) game this past Saturday against Martin Luther, the Bethany women's basketball team returned to their home floor on Tuesday night against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in a non-conference contest. It was the Eagles earning the 65-48 victory over the Vikings.
Minnie Frederick-Childress (Flint, Mich.) and
Haley Sandin (Zimmerman, Minn.) led the Vikings with 11 points apiece.
Brooke Henning (Worthington, Minn.) scored eight points in the second half for the Vikings while
Dakota Ellinghuysen (Peterson, Minn.) added six points and seven rebounds.
On the night, Bethany shot 29.0% (18-62) from the field compared to UW-La Crosse who finished shooting 40.6% (26-64). Each team committed 16 turnovers on the night while the Eagles held the advantage in the rebound department, compiling 46 total rebounds compared to 35 from the Vikings.

The Vikings (2-4, 1-0) will continue UMAC play this coming weekend against the University of Minnesota-Morris and Crown College. Friday night the Vikings will play the Cougars in Morris, Minn. at 5:30 p.m.
