Box Score Women's Basketball Takes Down Crown, 70-59

ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The women's basketball team has secured their spot in the 2016 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament as the number three seed. The Vikings traveled to Crown College on Friday night to take on the Storm in the final weekend of the regular season schedule.

The Vikings took down the Storm 70-59 on Friday night in UMAC action.
Â
Midway through the contest against Crown, Bethany trailed 42-34 against the Storm.
Briana Brandts (St. James, Minn.) led the Vikings with nine first half points.

In the third quarter of play the Bethany Vikings took control of the contest which led them to the victory over the Storm on Friday night. Â
Haley Sandin (Zimmerman, Minn.) led all scorers with 20 points and five steals for Bethany.Â
Christiana Wickingson (Mason, Wis.) added 15 points while
Briana Brandts recorded another double-double, scoring 12 points and collecting 11 rebounds.
Minnie Frederick-Childress (Flint, Mich.) chipped in with 10 points in 40 minutes of action.

Bethany finished the contest shooting 49.1% (28-57) from the field while the Storm ended the night shooting 35.4% (23-65) from the field.

On Saturday, Bethany will travel to Minnesota Morris to take on the Cougars in the final regular season game of the 2015-16 campaign before Postseason play begins. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
