Box Score Men's Basketball Wraps up 2015-16 Season with a Win
MORRIS, Minn. – The Bethany men's basketball team needed two victories over the weekend and some help from around the conference to qualify for the UMAC Postseason Tournament. The Vikings earned a victory over Crown on Friday night, but UW-Superior also earned a win over Northwestern, which eliminated the Vikings from Postseason contention.
In the final game of the 2015-16 campaign, the Vikings traveled to Minnesota Morris to take on the Cougars. Bethany finished the season by defeating the Cougars 82-75.
Four Vikings reached double figures in points on Saturday afternoon in Morris. Junior
Brandyn Frelix finished with a game high of 18 points and nine rebounds for Bethany. Freshman
Blake Lindstrom came off the bench scoring 17 points in 20 minutes of action.
Neil Eichten and
Zach Brandts each scored 13 points on the afternoon.
Senior
Nick Sanborn played his final game in a Bethany uniform, #45 finished his season by scoring eight points in 27 minutes.
The men's basketball season finished the season with an overall record of 10-15 and a conference record of 8-8.
