Box Score Minnesota Morris Shoots Past Women's Basketball
MORRIS, Minn. – Prepping for the 2016 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament, the women's basketball team traveled to Minnesota Morris on Saturday afternoon for the final regular season game before the Vikings begin Postseason play this coming week. The Cougars defeated the Vikings 82-53.
The Vikings finish the regular season with an overall record of 14-11 and 10-6 record in the UMAC.
Freshman
Haley Sandin led all Bethany scorers on the afternoon with 25 points, going 4-9 from behind the three point arc. Sophomore
Dakota Ellinghuysen added 10 points and six rebounds, the forward went 6-6 from the free throw line.
Rachel Sorensen came off the bench and recorded seven points and seven rebounds. Defensively,
Briana Brandts collected 11 rebounds.
Minnesota Morris shot 51.5% from downtown, connecting on 17 total three-point field goals. Both teams had 16 turnovers on the game.
On Wednesday, February 24
th, the #3 seeded Bethany Vikings will travel to #2 seeded Northwestern for the first round of the 2016 UMAC Postseason Tournament. The Eagles defeated the Vikings twice in the regular season, with the most recent game happening on February 13
