MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany Vikings played their first home contest of the 2016 campaign on Monday afternoon against the Carleton Knights. The Vikings and Knights squared off in a single, nine-inning baseball game.

Clay Anderson (Ramsey, Minn.) sparked the Vikings offense on Monday afternoon with three hits and one RBI while
Danny Kneeland (Windom, Minn.) added two hits as the second baseman for Bethany.Â
Drew Quame (Eagle Lake, Minn.),
Alek Zentzis (Forest Lake, Minn.), and
Brandyn Olsen (Blue Earth, Minn.) each recorded one hit against the Knights.

Zentzis started on the mound, going six innings while giving up only five hits and striking out six Carleton batters.
Cody Leitner (Red Wing, Minn.) suffered the mound loss for the Vikings on the afternoon.
