Box Score 2 Wesleyan Takes Two from Vikings

Game One: Wesleyan University 19, Bethany Lutheran 5Weslayan University finished the 2015 season with an overall record of 30-11, ranking in the top 25 throughout the season. The Cardinals showed their offensive strength on Monday against the Vikings, scoring seven runs in the opening inning, followed by five more runs in the second frame. The Vikings finished game one with 10 hits compared to 16 off the bats of the Cardinals.

Highlights from the Vikings:Alek Zentzis led the Vikings with two hits, two runs scored, and one RBI while
Kevin Harris and
Danny Kneeland each had two hits.
Trent Saharek,
Drew Quame, and
Josh Montbriand each drove in one run for the Vikings.
Nick Dewanz suffered the mound loss.

Game Two: Geneva College 13, Bethany Lutheran 5Bethany opened the second game by scoring three runs in the first two innings to lead 6-2 going into the third inning of play. Overall, the defensive play of the Vikings improved as the games progressed. Offensively, Bethany matched up pretty well with the Cardinals throughout the two games. The Vikings finished the day with 23 hits.

Highlights from the Vikings:Anthony Radloff started his first collegiate game on the mound for Bethany, and showed promising signs for the pitching staff. The left-hander struck out four batters in 3.2 innings of work.Â
Kneeland collected three more hits in the second game to bring his total for the day to five.
Nick Caldeen,
Zentzis,
Neil Eichten, and
Jordan Grams all recorded two hits apiece.
Zentzis had four RBI's to lead all Bethany hitters in the second game.
