Vikings Fall to Eagles in Season Opener

 
MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany women's soccer team began the 2016 season on Thursday afternoon at the BLC Soccer Field against the Northwestern Eagles in a non-conference soccer match. The Vikings were defeated by a score of 4-1.
 
The Vikings attempted 21 shots compared to the Eagles 14, although both teams had 11 shots on goal. The Viking goal was an unassisted goal scored by Rachel Bitter (Bemidji, Minn.).
 
Next on the schedule for the Women's Soccer team will be a road trip to compete against Beloit and Rockford on September 4^th and September 5^th. Game times for those two matches will be 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
