MANKATO, Minn. – During a busy Fall Festival – homecoming weekend on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College, the men's soccer team opened their 2016 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference schedule at home against the Rams from North Central. The Rams beat the Bethany men's soccer team 2-0.
The Vikings attempted nine total shots during the 90 minutes with their best chance of scoring happening late in the second period of play when freshman
Jonathan Sehloff (Mankato, Minn.) drilled the post from 40 feet away, which would've cut the deficit in half.
Goalkeeper
Matt Bitter (Bemidji, Minn.) finished the contest with 12 saves for the Vikings.
Next on the schedule:
Bethany will have a quick turn-around, as they will now travel to Hamline on Monday for another non-conference game against the Pipers. Scheduled start time is set for 4 p.m.
