ST. PAUL, Minn. – After earning two victories last weekend in the Sports and Fitness Center, the Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team continued Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action on Friday night against the University of Northwestern Eagles in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was the Eagles securing the 63-60 win over the BLC Vikings.

The Vikings and Eagles entered the contest with identical 4-2 records in conference action.

Junior
Rachel Sorensen (Windom, Minn.) had another great night off the bench for Lyle Jones and the women's basketball team. The sharp-shooter finished with 14 points, connecting on four three-pointers in 28 minutes of action. Sophomore
Haley Sandin (Zimmerman, Minn.) and junior
Brooke Henning (Worthington, Minn.) rounded out double-figures for the Vikings, concluding with 12 and 10 points.
Dakota Ellinghuysen (Peterson, Minn.) was one point shy of a double-double. The junior collected 10 rebounds while scoring nine points.

The largest lead was with seven minutes remaining in the second period when the Eagles led by 11 points over Bethany Lutheran. Both teams saw production from their bench, adding 21 points apiece.

The Vikings (6-8, 3-4 UMAC) continue their road trip on Saturday afternoon at North Central University. The action will begin at 3 p.m.
