MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran women's basketball team improved to 5-3 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) on Saturday afternoon after a convincing 81-53 win over North Central University. Overall the Vikings improve to 7-8 on the season.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE VIKINGS:
- All 13 players on the 2016-17 roster found their name in the box score.
- Sophomore Haley Sandin (Zimmerman, Minn.) led the team with 17 points.
- Rachel Sorensen (Windom, Minn.) provided the offensive attack with 12 points off the bench. The junior knocked down four three', similar to last night's performance at UNW.
- Senior Minnie Frederick-Childress (Flint, Mich.) added 10 points to go along with nine rebounds and five assists.
- BLC scored 27 points in the third period to secure the conference win over the Rams.
- The Vikings bench scored 38 points compared to the Rams four.
- BLC held the rebound advantage, 46-29.
- As a team, the Vikings shot 50% (30-60) from the field and 50% (9-18) from downtown range.

BLC will play a non-conference game on Monday, January 16
th when they make a visit to Carleton College. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
