MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran men's basketball team won in a confident performance Saturday evening against Martin Luther to begin the second-half of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) schedule. The final score from the Sports and Fitness Center was 90-65.

With the win, the Vikings improve to 10-7, including a 6-3 UMAC record. With the loss, the Knights fall to 1-16, including a 0-9 league record. BLC has now won seven of its last nine games.

In front of a packed crowd at home, the Bethany Vikings proved to their fan base they are a real contender in the UMAC, sitting in second place in the conference standings following the dominant performance over the Knights.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE VIKINGS:
- Brady Rose (Le Sueur, Minn.) started his 17th game for the Vikings this season and had an impressive performance. The junior recorded his double-double by scoring 18 points and collecting 10 rebounds.
- Sophomore Jarred Merchant (Kimball, Minn.) played 16 minutes, scoring 13 points to go along with his seven rebounds.
- Junior Neil Eichten (Wabasso, Minn.) finished the night with 11 points and five assists.
- Bradley Rose (Le Sueur, Minn.) also scored 10 points for BLC.
- Jamar Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) played some big minutes off the bench by scoring eight points.
- The Vikings shot 49.3 percent from the field while draining 40 percent of their three point attempts.
- BLC had 19 team assists compared to the Knights 16.
- BLC held the 48-38 rebound advantage.
- The largest lead was 28 points with four minutes remaining in regulation.
