MANKATO, Minn. – Looking for their third consecutive win, the Bethany Lutheran men's basketball team welcomed the Northland Lumberjacks to the Sports and Fitness Center for a key Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) contest. The Vikings used another strong second half to defeat the Lumberjacks 93-74.

The Vikings have now won five of their last six contest to improve to 8-6 overall and 4-2 in UMAC play.

Offensively, the Vikings again had five different players reach double figures. Senior Forward
Brandyn Frelix (Minneapolis, Minn.) scored 20 points to go along with his seven rebounds to power past Northland. Sophomore's
Austin Bauer (Caledonia, Minn.) and
Kyle Kubesh (Buffalo Lake, Minn.) added 12 points while
Neil Eichten (Wabasso, Minn.) contributed with 11 points. Rounding out double figures was sophomore forward Jarred Merchant (Kimball, Minn.) with 10 points.

As a team, the Vikings shared the basketball as they finished with 19 team assists while shooting 52.4% (33-63) from the field. The largest lead for BLC was late in the second period of play, when they led by as many as 25 points. Head Coach Matt Fletcher saw great production from his bench, scoring 35 of the teams 96 points.
