Box Score MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany women's basketball team (4-0) continued their winning ways and defeated Central College (2-2) for the second time this season, 82-74.
Having beaten the Dutch last Saturday, the Vikings came ready for another win. Central held an 18-15 advantage after the first quarter of play, but the Vikings outscored the Dutch 31-14 in the second quarter to take a 46-32 lead into the break. The Vikings were hot from behind the three-point line in the first half, converting 7 of 13 attempts. Brooke Henning made four three-pointers in the first half and Emily Skrien connected on two attempts.
Central College was able to close the gap a bit in the second half, but the Vikings made 11 of 14 free-throw attempts to keep the Dutch at bay. Bethany won their fourth straight game of the season by a final score of 82-74.
Haley Sandin poured in 25 points and went 9-9 from the free throw line. Brooke Henning recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Abby Olson gave the Vikings 18 points and Emily Skrien scored 11 points.
Up Next: The Vikings travel to Forest City, Iowa on Tuesday, November 28 to take on Waldorf University at 6:30 PM.
