Women's Tennis Begin Conference Season with Victory

FRIDLEY, Minn. – To begin the 2017 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) schedule, the Bethany Lutheran women's tennis team took on the Rams from North Central at Life Time Fitness in Fridley, Minnesota. The Vikings defeated the Rams 7-2 to earn their first win of the 2017 campaign.
 
The Vikings dominated the North Central Rams in doubles competition, breezing to three straight wins, before adding four, singles-set wins.
 
Alicia Kranz (Arlington, Minn.) picked up a pair of 6-2 scores at Nos. 1 singles to earn her second win of the young season. Ryana Sadaka (Mankato, Minn.),Megan Braatz (Sun Prairie, Wis.), and Sabrina Batalden (Anoka, Minn.) were also successful in their singles competitions.
 
UP NEXT:
The Vikings (1-8, 1-0) will now play a non-conference match on February 25th against Ripon College in Owatonna, Minn. Match time is set for 9 a.m.
