ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran women's team played a pair of matches on Monday afternoon on the campus of Northwestern. The Vikings played a non-conference match against UW-River Falls before playing the Eagles from Northwestern in the nightcap.
FINAL SCORES:
- UW-River Falls 8, Bethany Lutheran 1
- Northwestern 9, BLC 0
UW-RIVER FALLS MATCH:
Sophomore
Megan Braatz (Sun Prairie, Wis.) was successful at the No. three singles position. Braatz defeated her opponent 6-3, 4-6, 10-5.
UNW MATCH:
For the second time in three seasons, UMAC women's tennis has two regular season champions in St. Scholastica and Northwestern. With the victory, the Eagles clinched the second spot in the postseason tournament while the Vikings will be the number three seed.
FINAL MATCH:
The final match of the 2017 regular season will be played on Saturday, April 29
th against the University of Minnesota-Morris at 1 p.m. in Morris.
