COON RAPIDS, Minn. – Head Coach Ryan Kragh and the 2017 Bethany Lutheran baseball team continued its hot streak on Wednesday afternoon with an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) sweep of the Rams from North Central. With the sweep, BLC has clinched a spot in the 2017 UMAC Postseason Tournament.

- Game one: Bethany Lutheran 12, North Central 1
- Game two: BLC 13, NCU 8
- Overall Record: BLC is now 19-15 overall and 11-4 in the UMAC. NCU falls to 4-25 and 2-12 in conference action.
GAME ONE:
The Vikings scored nine of their runs in the first four innings and would pick up three more in the final frame of the contest. Junior
John Brown concluded the first contest with four knocks and three RBI's as the Vikings leadoff hitter.
Brandyn Olsen continued his hot hitting with three hits in four at bats and two RBIs in the game. The Vikings ended with 17 total hits as a team, but the big story for the Vikings was the guy on the mound.
Cody Leitner picked up his fourth win of the season with a dominant performance, 7.0 IP with 10 strikeouts and only two hits allowed.
GAME TWO:
By going 5-for-5 with three RBI's and three runs scored, Brandyn Olsen's season batting average improved to an impressive .443. Senior's
Trent Saharek and
Nolan Grose combined for seven total hits in the middle of the lineup for BLC.
Hunter Hamers picked up the mound victory for Bethany Lutheran. The left-hander pitched seven scoreless innings in relief for his second win of the 2017 season.
