Mankato, MN.  – The Bethany Lutheran Vikings Men's basketball team suffered their first loss to the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairie Wolves 85-104. The loss moves the Viking's record to 2-1.
 
The Prairie Wolves started out the game strong, going on a 13-5 run. The Wolves continued to keep their foot on the gas, outshooting the Vikings 57%-41% from the field and 50%-40% from the arc. They also converted on more of their free throws, 78% to the Vikings 60%. The scoring outburst helped the Wolves beat the Vikings in the first half 58-39. The second half brought a little more action for the Vikings, shrinking the deficit to 76-91. However, the Wolves were able to hold of the Vikings, and get a 85-104 win.
 
The Prairie Wolves were able to capitalize off of the Vikings turnovers, scoring 19 points off turnovers to the Vikings 5. The Wolves also had the advantage in fast break points scoring 12 to the Vikings 4.
 
The Vikings were led by Jared Milinkovich with 16 points, Trenton Krueger with 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Cire Mayfield had 7 assists.
 
Up next: The Vikings will play their third road game of the season against the Buena Vista University Beavers on Thursday, November 15th at 7:00 P.M. in Storm Lake, IA.
