Box Score Lakeville, Minn. – The BLC women's team (0-1) dropped their first match of the season against Martin Luther (1-2) in non-conference action by a score of 9-0.
 
The BLC women struggled in their first outing of the season, losing to MLC in non-conference play. The Vikings will continue to shake off the rust as they get into the swing of the season.
 
The lineup for the Vikings at the singles position was Denae Walton (Andover, MN/Sophomore), Leah Schaefer (Belle Plaine, MN/Junior), Justine Bennett (River Falls, WI/Senior), Nicole Moldstad (North Mankato, MN/Senior), Averi Cash (Ottumwa, IA/Senior), and Sadie Sandersfeld (Fairmont, MN/Freshman) at one through six respectively.
 
Nicole Moldstad lost her first set 6-0, but played tough in the second set, losing 7-5.
 
Walton and Schaefer played the top doubles spot for the Vikings followed by Justine Bennett and Nicole Moldstad at two and Averi Cash and Sadie Sandersfeld at three.
 
Up Next: The men and women are both in action next Saturday, February 17th at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis. Both teams will play their first match against Hamline University at 11:30 AM. The men will follow with a second match against Dubuque at 3:30 PM and the women play Morningside in their second match at 3:30 PM.
