Box Score Fridley, Minn. – The BLC women's tennis team (2-6) opened Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play with a win over North Central University (0-2). The Vikings beat the Rams 6-3 and have now won two matches in a row.
 
Denae Walton got her second win of the season at the number one singles position, beating her opponent in a three set match 6-4, 4-6, and 10-4. Justine Bennett won her first singles match of the season in easy fashion, 6-0, 6-0. Averi Cash and Emily Barthel also gathered wins at five and six singles by scores of 6-0, 6-0 each.
 
The Vikings added two more wins at second and third doubles. Justine Bennett and Nicole Moldstad defeated their opponent 8-1 and Averi Cash and Emily Barthel defeated their opponent 8-0.
 
Up Next: The Vikings have a two week break and will be hoping for warm weather as they host St. Scholastica and Crown on April 7th at 10 AM and 3 PM respectively.
