Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Roseville, Minn. - In their first live action in over two weeks the Vikings dropped a pair of contests to the Scots of Macalester by scores of 9-4 and 4-3. With the losses the Vikings move to 4-6 on the season.

In game one, Macalester jumped out of the gate and put up four runs in the bottom of the first inning to take an early lead. The Vikings fought right back though by answering with a two-run top of the second after back to back hits by Ross Beumer and Kevin Harris each brought in a runner to make the score 4-2. After the Scots pushed another run across in the second to make the score 5-2 the game slowed down until the fourth inning when Mylo Hommes hit a massive solo home run to bring the game to 5-3. The Scots offense picked up though as they had back to back two-run innings in the fourth and fifth to take a 9-3 lead. The Vikings plated one more run in the top of the sixth but couldn't mount a rally to stage a comeback and fell 9-4.

In game two, no runs were scored until the bottom of the second when the Scots plated two to grab the lead. The Vikings battled back though and put up one run in the fourth inning after Diego Martiarena walked and Ben Boran followed with a double that advanced Martiarena to third. Martiarena would score on a wild pitch a few pitches later to make the score 2-1 after four innings. The Vikings would take their first lead in the fifth inning after a double by Hommes notched one RBI and a groundout by Boran notched another to give Bethany a 3-2 lead. The Vikings would carry their lead until Macalaster loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh inning and a Sam Goldberg single would plate two runs to give the Scots the 4-3 walk-off victory.

UP NEXT: The Vikings will once again travel to Roseville on Friday, March 30th for two non-conference bouts with the Northwestern Eagles. The scheduled start times for the games are 12 P.M. and 2 P.M.
