Box Score TUCSON, AZ. – The 2018 BLC baseball season is officially underway. The Bethany Vikings (0-1) dropped their first game of the season to NCAA D2 Southwest Minnesota State University (1-2) by a score of 7-0.
 
Senior pitcher Alex Babcock got the start on the mound for the Vikings in their opener. Babcock threw six innings, giving up six hits and two runs with an impressive 11 strikeouts. Offensively, a handful of Bethany players each recorded a hit in the ballgame. Nick Caldeen and Grant Becher each had a double and reached on a walk too.  
 
Up Next: The Vikings continue play in Arizona tomorrow with a double-header against Simpson College beginning at 4 PM MST.
