Women’s tennis comes up short against Morris

Box Score LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The BLC women's tennis team (3-8, 2-2) dropped a UMAC match to the MN-Morris Cougars (2-4, 1-3) on Wednesday evening. The Vikings and Cougars met at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville for their contest.
 
Averi Cash and Emily Barthel picked up a win for the Vikings at #3 doubles by a score of 8-6. Cash and Barthel are now 3-1 in UMAC play as a doubles duo. Justine Bennett and Nicole Moldstad battled at #2 doubles, but came up short 8-6.
 
Nicole Moldstad was able to take care of business at #4 singles, winning easily 6-1, 6-0. Moldstad now holds a UMAC record of 2-2 in singles play. Averi Cash picked up her 2nd win on the night with a clean 6-0, 6-0 win at #5 singles.    
 
Up Next: The Vikings will hit the court again in Lakeville on Saturday, April 21 at 7 PM. BLC will play MLC in UMAC competition.
