LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The BLC men's tennis team picked up their third straight win and moved to 4-1 in UMAC play after defeating MLC by a score of 7-2.
The Vikings swept the doubles with Laine Larson/Dalton Werckman cruising to an 8-0 win at #1 and Carter Dahl/Dexter Jackson winning 8-1 at #2. Jordan Poff and Kenny Johnson fought hard at #3 doubles and won 9-8 (7-5). The Vikings have shined in doubles during UMAC play, losing only two matches. Larson/Werckman hold a 4-1 record, Dahl/Jackson are 5-0, and Poff/Johnson are 4-1.
The Vikings earned four more points in singles play with Larson winning 6-4, 6-1 at #1 singles, Werckman winning 6-4, 6-4 at #2, Dexter Jackson winning easily 6-1, 6-0, and Kenny Johnson winning 6-2, 6-4 at #6.
Up Next: The Vikings play UW-Superior tomorrow, Sunday, April 22, in Superior. Their match begins at 3 PM.
