JORDAN, Minn. – The BLC men's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over the Crown College Storm on Friday evening.
The Vikings won with ease at all three doubles spots. Laine Larson/Dalton Werckman evened their season record at 10-10 win an 8-1 win at #1 doubles. Carter Dahl/Dexter Jackson also finish the regular season with an overall record of 10-10 as they won 8-1 at #2 doubles. Alec Cullen filled in for Jordan Poff and teamed up with Kenny Johnson at #3 doubles and they took care of their opponent 8-1.
Laine Larson earned the win at #1 singles by a score of 6-0, 6-2. Dalton Werckman won 6-3, 6-1 at #2 singles. Carter Dahl won 6-3, 6-1 at #3 singles. Dexter Jackson earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at #4 singles and improved to 11-8 on the year. Kenny Johnson won 6-1, 6-1 at #5 singles. Alec Cullen earned a tough win at #6 singles 7-6 (9-7), 6-2.
Up Next: The Vikings clinched a spot in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference postseason tournament. The Vikings earned the #4 seed and will play the #1 seed on Wednesday, May 2. The Vikings will await the outcomes of this weekend's matches to find out who they will play.
