Box Score 2 St. Peter, Minn. - The women's tennis team headed up the highway on Saturday for matches with St. Scholastica and Crown. Bethany lost to Scholastica by a score of 9-0 before beating Crown 9-0.
In the first match
Denae Walton competed well for the Vikings as she managed to win four games at the one singles spot for Bethany. The doubles team of
Averi Cash and
Emily Barthel also won three games at three doubles for the Vikings to present the Saints their toughest challenge. The second game proved different for the Vikigns as
Walton Leah Schaefer,
Justine Bennett,
Nicole Moldstad,
Cash, and
Barthel all won their singles matches with both
Cash and
Barthel managing tiebreak victories. At doubles Bethany won 8-2, 8-1, and 8-0 in their three doubles matches to sweep the Storm by a score of 9-0.
UP NEXT: The women will take on Crown in nonconference action in Lakeville on Saturday, April 14th with a start time of 4 PM.
