North Mankato, MN. – The Bethany Lutheran College Vikings men's soccer team loses their first game in a two day series against the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellow Jackets 5-0. The loss moves the Vikings record to 5-3-1 and their UMAC record to 2-1-1.
The game started out fairly quickly, with both teams combining for 4 shots within the first 10 minutes. However, the first goal wasn't scored until the 23rd minute by the Yellowjackets. The goals came fairly quickly after that, with the Yellowjackets scoring again in the 26th, 45th, 66th, and 83rd minute. In the end, the Yellowjackets had 21 shots with 14 on goal compared to the Vikings 5 shots and only 1 on goal.
Nikita Pyatetskiy was able to lead the Vikings with 2 shots and 1 on goal. 3 Vikings--
Jonathan Sehloff,
Samuel Duran, and
Victor Gonzalez-- were also able to all record 1 shot.
