Women's Soccer Opens Three-Game Homestand

MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran women's soccer team (6-5 overall, 2-0 UMAC) opens a three-game homestand when it welcomes Martin Luther (4-5, 1-0) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. This will be the first game on the new home turf. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 4:50 p.m. (before the men's game).

The Series
BLC owns the series lead at 16-9-3 as the programs have met at least once every season since 2004. The Knights claimed the first meeting this season on Sept. 18, 4-0.

Bethany Lutheran
Junior Maddie Perry (Anoka, Minn.) leads the team with 11 goals for 22 points. Sophomore Zoe Kinakin (Victoria, British Columbia) follows with three goals and freshman Gina Harmening (Courtland, Minn.) has two.

Junior Leah Sonnenburg (Lakeville, Minn.) has played 799:00 in the net, has 43 saves, five wins and one shutout.
