Men's Basketball Travels to Face UW-Stout

MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran men's basketball team (2-2 overall) travels to face UW-Stout (2-2) Tuesday at 5 p.m. to open a three-game road trip.

The Series
The Blue Devils own the narrow lead (5-4) in the all-time series, though the Vikings have claimed the last three-straight meetings. The programs have met in the last five-straight years.

Bethany Lutheran
Senior Trenton Krueger (Eagan, Minn.) leads the team with 16.3 PPG and sophomore Cire Mayfield (St. Louis Park, Minn.) follows at 15.5. Junior Brian Smith (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) averages 15.3 PPG and classmate Jared Milinkovich (New Prague, Minn.) has 11.0.

Krueger averages a double double with his team-best 10.5 rebounds/game. Mayfield has a team-high 24 assists and Smith leads the way with nine steals.

Career Record Watch
Krueger is first in blocks (61) and sixth in rebounds (410). Milinkovich is fifth in blocks (44).

National Stat Rankings
Bethany Lutheran ranks in the top 100 of sis national stat ranking categories, the NCAA released Monday.

The Vikings are second in free throw percentage (86.1), 45th in blocked shots/game (4.8), 55th in scoring offense (86.8 PPG), 67th in blocks (19), 90th in field goal percentage (47.3), and 92nd in three-point field goal percentage (38.1).

Individually, Mayfield is 23rd in assists/game (6.0), and 67th in assists (24).

Krueger is 16th in double doubles (3), 41st in rebounds/game (10.5),  66th in blocks/game (1.75), and 78th in blocks (7).

Smith is 24th in free throw percentage (95.5) while sophomore Kaden Vaughn (St. Charles, Minn.) is 40th in three-point field goal percentage I54.2),  77th in three-point field goals/game (3.25),

UW-Stout
Four players average in double figures as Jon Ciriacks leads the way with 20.0 PPG. Luke Geiger follows at 16.3, Kyle Jackson at 12.7, and Cliff McCray at 11.3. Ciriacks is the leading rebounder with 8.3/game
