LAKEVILLE, MN – It was a tough night for the BLC women's tennis team as they fell to Macalester College 9-0. The win makes the Scots 2-1 on the season while the loss puts the Vikings record at 3-5.
The Scots proved to be a dominant force, losing a combined three games in all six of their singles matches. For the Vikings, Shoshana Bruner was able to take a couple games from her opponent at #2 singles, losing 6-1, 6-1. Audrey Petersen also stole a game in the first set of her match at #4 singles.
In doubles, the #1 team of Taylor Bolduan/Shoshana Bruner grabbed a game, but would lose 8-1. Leah Schaefer/Jessalyn Aune-Smith lost 8-0 at #2 doubles and Audrey Petersen/Emma Carmichael lost 8-1 at #3.
Up next: The matches the Vikings had scheduled for Saturday, February 23 have been CANCELLED due to potential weather. The Vikings will play again on Saturday, March 2 against Loras College in Lakeville.
