Geistfeld dominates in win over Crown

ST. BONIFACIUS, MN.  – The Vikings women's basketball team is 19-4 overall and 13-1 in UMAC play after a 79-49 win over Crown College. Hanna Geistfeld dominated in the win, scoring 31 points on 13-16 shooting while grabbing nine rebounds.

The game was a little tight throughout the first half as the Vikings tried to find their rhythm on offense. Hanna Geistfeld powered the Vikings offense in the first half, scoring 14 points.

The Vikings poured in 26 points in the third quarter to widen their lead to 21. BLC would continue to hold off the Storm in the final quarter and came away with a 79-49 victory.

Hanna Geistfeld was unstoppable in the game, scoring 31 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Abby Olson gave the Vikings 19 points and seven assists. Kenlie Pytleski had a nice game as well with 13 points including 2-2 from three.

The Vikings shot 46.8% from the field in the game and their defense held the Storm to 37.5% shooting. The Vikings also forced 18 turnovers and scored 18 points off those turnovers. BLC dominated in the paint, scoring 40 points compared to Crown's 26.
