LAKEVILLE, MN – The Bethany Lutheran Vikings played well against the Buena Vista University Beavers, but came up a little bit short in their afternoon match, losing 6-3.
Laine Larson and Dalton Werckman stayed undefeated by picking up a convincing 8-1 victory at #1 doubles. The pair is now 4-0 together on the season. Carter Dahl and Nico Martinez Biali fell 8-4 in #2 doubles while Noah Gernander and David Lee lost 8-2 at #3.
At #1 singles, Larson came up just short. After dominating the first set 6-1, Larson fell 1-6, 6-10 in the second and third set. Werckman won a hard fought match at #2 singles, defeating his opponent 6-1, 6-7 (3-7), 10-8. Werckman is now 3-3 on the season in singles play. Dahl picked up his fifth win of the year at #3 singles, cruising to a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Nico Martinez Biali won a total of four games in his match at #4, but lost 6-1, 6-3. Noah Gernander fought hard at #5, but lost 6-4, 6-2. David Lee nearly picked up his first win of the season, but lost 6-4, 6-2.
