ST. PETER, MN – The Bethany Lutheran College women's tennis team opened played a non-conference match against NCAA DII Southwest Minnesota State University. The Mustangs swept the Vikings 9-0, moving their record to 13-9 overall while the Vikings fell to 4-6.
It was a tough matchup for the Vikings, who only managed to win one game in their doubles matches. Audrey Peterson and Emma Carmichael took one game from the Mustangs at the #3 spot.
In singles, Audrey Peterson won a total of four games against her opponent at #4 singles. Taylor Bolduan took one game in the first set of her #1 singles match and came back in the second set to win two games. Shoshana Bruner was able to win one game against her opponent at #2 singles and Emma Carmichael took one game at #6.
Up next: The Vikings play Crown College in a UMAC match on Saturday, March 30th at 1 PM. The match will be played in Chaska, MN at Southwest Christian High School.
