LAKEVILLE, MN – The Bethany Lutheran College women's tennis team moved to 2-0 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play with a decisive 8-1 win over Crown College.
Taylor Bolduan and Shoshana Bruner won their fifth doubles match of the year together with an 8-5 win at #1. At #2, Audrey Petersen and Jessalyn Aune-Smith improved their record to 3-2 as a duo with an 8-3 win. Leah Schaefer and Emma Carmichael made it a sweep for the Vikings in doubles with an 8-1 win at #3.
BLC took five out of six singles matches beginning with a 6-0, 6-3 win by Taylor Bolduan at #1. Shoshana Bruner dominated at #2 with a 6-0, 6-0 win to pick up her fifth singles win of the season. Leah Schaefer played tough, but fell 6-3, 7-6 to her opponent. Audrey Petersen won 6-1, 6-2, Jessalyn Aune-Smith won 6-1, 6-3, and Emma Carmichael won 6-1, 6-0 at #4, #5, and #6 respectively.
