MORRIS, MN – The Bethany Lutheran men's tennis team traveled to Morris to take on the Cougars in UMAC play on Tuesday afternoon. Both teams showed up ready to play, but it was the Vikings who came out on top by a score of 6-3.
 
The Vikings won two of three doubles matches beginning with Dalton Werckman and Carter Dahl at #1. The pair moved to 3-0 in UMAC play together and 4-1 overall with an 8-3 win. Laine Larson and Nico Martinez Biali took care of business at #2, winning by a score of 8-4. Together they are also 3-0 in UMAC play and 4-1 overall.
 
The Vikings won the top four singles matches as well beginning with Laine Larson at #1. Larson defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-0 to earn his third UMAC win. Dalton Werckman is now 4-1 in UMAC play after winning 6-0, 6-1 at #2. Carter Dahl continued his solid season with a 7-6, 6-2 win at #3 and Nico Martinez Biali won a three-setter 6-2, 5-7, 10-5. Dahl is now 3-2 in the UMAC and Biali is 2-3.
 
Up next: The Vikings have a quick turnaround and will take on undefeated University of Northwestern tomorrow beginning at 6:00 PM.
